Liguai is Pérez Cruz's syrah-based blend that brings together some of Pérez Cruz family's best vineyards in the Huelquén zone of the Alto Maipo. This year it's 47% syrah, and it's a broad and very ripe red with enveloping flavors of black fruits and sweet spices. The tannins are firm, but with the weight of all that fruit, the wine seems round. The blend also includes 30% cabernet sauvignon and 23% carmenere. [Drink into early 2030s.] Score - 92.
