A melding of opulence and elegance, the Oculus, a Bordeaux blend grown organically in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, delivers serious New World fruit with sheer elegance. Strawberries and balsamic announce the aromatics of ample complexity and florality. Dried violets, savoury anise and gravelly dust complete the picture. The palate is gorgeously constructed as tannins and freshness interplay. Fresh mint and pine bough frame strawberries, clove and smoke. Well-knit wild mountain berries, pencil lead, and evergreen tips. Freshness, ripeness and structure come together wonderfully. Drinking window: 2023-2038. Score - 95.
