A fresh and elegant Amarone, trimmed by sleek, integrated tannins and displaying a lovely range of crushed black cherry and ripe damson plum fruit with accents of red licorice, tea leaf and ground white pepper. Though medium- to full-bodied and focused, this wears its weight well, harmonious through to the lingering, minerally finish of iron and smoke. Drink now through 2030. Score - 93.
