The 2018 Trumao Norte is a red blend from north-facing (the warmer exposure in the southern hemisphere) vines on volcanic trumao soils. It's a creamy blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that fermented in concrete and matured in lenga wood (a local Chilean tree) and French oak barrels. It has moderate alcohol, an herbal and spicy character from the grapes and a medium-bodied palate with some dusty tannins. Drink date: 2021-2026. Score - 92.
