An interesting French hybrid grape, Seyval is an early-ripening, green-skinned variety that has found success in Ontario, Quebec and the UK. Showing ripe tropical fruit and lime peel laced with a zippy acidity, this brisk wine will make an excellent pairing for potato-leek soup flanked by a bagel topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese.
