Saint-Chinian has two main soil types: schist-based soils in the north that impart minerality, freshness and structure; and clay and limestone soils in the south that lend wines a soft, round character. This blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan uses grapes sourced from both soil types, making for a complex wine with red and black fruit, spice, minerality and notable poise.
