For this chardonnay, winemaker Alejandro Vigil uses vineyards in the Gualtallary area, vines that are more than 20 years old planted on calcareous soils at an altitude of about 1,400 meters, toward the north of the Uco Valley. Aged in 500-liter barrels for a year, with 35% new oak, this clearly speaks of Uco's excellent 2022 vintage. The juicy clarity of the fruit meets the saline notes, the body is intense and oily, and the sensation of ripe white fruits is projected to the end of the palate. A chardonnay that's drinking very well now, but that will gain in complexity with a few years of bottle aging. 100% of this wine was aged under a veil of flor. Score - 94.
