The 2021 Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode 1er Cru feels more constricted at present when compared to the Clos des Guettes. The nose highlights dark plum and raspberry, yet is just missing a little amplitude. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannins. The pedigree of the climat comes through here; it's pretty sweet and opulent towards the finish, so it belies the coolness of that summer. Give this a couple of years in bottle because it is a well-crafted Savigny. Drinking window: 2025-2035. Score - 90-92. (Neal Martin, vinous.com, Jan. 2023)
