This is a spectacular amarone that finds great equilibrium and finesse despite its 16.5% alcohol. The nose is not over the top exuberant but it captures very ripe dried cran-cherry fruit with vermouth spices and rosemary like herbality. It is full bodied and rich, but very streamlined and elegant across the mid-palate, and finishing with outstanding flavour depth and length. Tasted Feb 2022. Score - 96.
