This is actually not a pure pinot noir rose. It is a blend of 50% pinot noir with 30% merlot and 20% marselan. But who cares, as it delivers very well. It has quite generous, clean almost perfumed nose of sour cherry, watermelon and a touch of saffron. It is creamy yet juicy at the same time, with very good flavour intensity. Garzon may be a foreign concept from a tiny corner of the wine world in Uruguay, but this is serious stuff. Tasted April 2024 Score - 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com)
