Armenia has a rich cultural history of winemaking. The Vayots Dzor region is where the oldest-dated wine (over 6,000 years old) was discovered. Made from the native grapes Areni and Haghtanak, this aromatic, spicy red shows flavours of roasted bell pepper, baking spices and cocoa.
