Winemakers J-L Groux and Dean Stoyka have commented on how remarkable 2020 was for Ontario viticulture. Warm winter months led to an early harvest before the cold autumn temperatures set in. This Merlot is a fine example from the great vintage, with soft, velvety tannins wrapped in luscious notes of cassis, leather, sweet tobacco and sandalwood. Serve this tonight after an hour decant or cellar for up to 15 years.
