Somehow a bit darker and more serious than Les Plantes which is right next door, Amiot-Servelle has 1.31ha in this lieu-dit which is considered to be among the top premiers crus in Chambolle. Even though the winemaking is the same, this seems to have a bit more ripe black plum fruit and smoky, savoury notes. There is abundant density and concentration here, although I tasted a second barrel which provided a bit brighter fruit, less wood and more acidity. Definitely one of the top crus this year.
