As advertised, this is one velvety smooth Merlot. There may not be a lot of tannic structure and the acidity is restrained, but lovers of satiny textures and walls of blackberry fruit will rejoice. The blackberry tsunami is joined by aromas and flavors of sweet Cavendish pipe tobacco, balsa wood and an espresso doppio with a lemon peel. Best Buy. Score - 89.
