Each glass of this Chardonnay-Pinot Noir blend with a splash of Pinot Meunier gleams a gorgeous pale gold colour while tiny, persistent bubbles thread up and burst on the wine's surface. That effervescence amplifies the rich scent, which is complex and calls to mind toasted brioche, apple pie, marzipan and a touch of sea salt. The attack is brisk and delicate yet tightly wound, beaming in then expanding with generous, intricate flavours. Baked apple and butter pastry, a touch of brown sugar, toasted almond, cool stone and lemon zest tease the senses. Then the long finish leaves the palate delightfully seasoned. Score - 93.
