'Combottes' is a diminutive of the French 'combes' (valleys), referencing the steep hills where the grapes for this wine are grown. This hefty Chardonnay shows classic Burgundian elegance mixed with the playfulness of young vines. A focused wine, with flavours of sliced pear, tart apple and vanilla, plus hints of smoked cedar. Drinkable now but will cellar well into the mid-2030s.
